Help Improve IRS Form 990

Independent Sector needs smart thinking to help improve the Form 990. As the second filing season for the redesigned Form 990 nears completion, the IRS has asked for recommendations for further improvements.

Starting today, Friday, July 15 through Monday, July 25, Independent Sector is conducting a dynamic online forum where you can offer your ideas and opinions, respond to others, and join with your colleagues to identify the best of the best.

Visit our 990 Forum today, where you can

  • Submit ideas
  • Comment on the ideas of others
  • Comment on the issues raised by the IRS
  • Vote for the best ideas

The more who participate, the richer this dialogue will be, so please help us recruit as many nonprofits as possible to participate in this online dialogue.

Your COO, CFO, legal counsel, accountant, and others may have an interest in or opinions about the Form 990 and we welcome their participation, as well. And if you work for a foundation or corporate giving program, please pass this along to your grantees.

IS will use the dialogue to formulate our recommendations to the IRS and respond to questions from Congress about the views of our members.

Please make your voice heard! Join the conversation today and come back often during the next 10 days.
