Designing Useful Outcome Measures

Meaningful outcomes can tell the story of your program's impact. Figuring out what and how to measure can be challenging.  In this training you will develop a better understanding of how to demonstrate the impact of your program.  Thinking about program outcomes can lead to meaningful conversations and help enhance and support a learning environment in your organization.

Theory of Change includes the reasons why you choose particular strategies to achieve the results you want; it includes research and assumptions related to your clients and how to address their needs.  If you can articulate your program's theory of change, then you can develop a way to define your program goals and measureable outcomes.  Examining your theory of change will enable you to take a critical look at your program strategies and what kind of results you can expect from those strategies.  The session will be valuable for program planning, grant writing and evaluation.
