 You feel a lump in your throat the size of the Queen Mary. You think you’re going to be sick; you don’t eat; you don’t sleep and your hair falls out in clumps...YOU'VE BEEN TOLD TO PLAN A SPECIAL EVENT!! But don’t panic because at our annual luncheon meeting you’ll hear from two experts who will help you make your event a smashing success that not only raises awareness for your organization, but brings in LOTS of donations!

Event planner Shannon Barnhill of Your Affairs to Remember and UNM Zimmerman Library fundraiser Nina Johnson will hold a lively and informative talk about the ins and outs of event planning on Thursday, October 14th from 11:30 to 1:30 at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, 1801 Mountain Road NW in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Nina Johnson is the Development Director for UNM’s Zimmerman Library and has been in charge of the well-known Popejoy Hall Bazaar held annually. Shannon Barnhill has planned the Balloon Park’s Grand Opening, the Rio Rancho Mayor’s Gala and the Juvenile Diabetes Golf Tournament. They have tons of experience to pass on to you. It’s sure to be a luncheon you’ll not only enjoy, but that you’ll become a superstar at doing special events!
