Curt opened Pivot Evaluation in January after 20 years of working in other shops. His practical approach to program evaluation keeps evaluations affordable for clients. His custom tools for clients span the qualitative and quantitative continuum. He has attracted talented colleagues to serve the growing evaluation needs in Albuquerque and New Mexico.

Kathleen Gygi, PhD, Senior Evaluator, Pivot Evaluation kathleen@pivoteval.com

Kathleen is an interdisciplinary evaluator with a deep understanding of evidencebased practice. She brings participatory planning and human-centered design tools to design and evaluation projects. She also conducts research on social enterprises and teaches in an online Sustainability MBA program.

Jenny Jackson, MBA, Senior Resource Development Officer, The Grant Plant jenny@thegrantplantnm.com

Jenny is responsible for project management and proposal development for a range of clients. She has a range of grant writing experience, from massive federal grants to short community foundation grants. Jenny holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Johns Hopkins University. She is also President of Jackson Writing and Research, a consulting and technical writing business, and has a wide range of other writing experiences from radio journalism to academic and technical writing.

Melissa Leonard, MA, Resource Development Officer, The Grant Plant melissa@thegrantplantnm.com

Melissa is responsible for developing, writing, and submitting grant proposals to public and private entities. She holds a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico, where she served as Coordinator of the Student Organization for Latin American Studies for two years and gained much of her grant writing experience. She is adept at scholarly writing as well; her work on environmental law in South America will be published in the 2015-2016 issue of the Tribal Law Journal.

Terry Schleder MPH, Community Health Evaluator, Pivot Evaluation terry@pivoteval.com

Terry’s community health career spans public and private agency management, health promotion, evaluation, and media advocacy roles. He uses public health basics alongside policy, quantitative, and geospatial data tools to help community leaders build organizational capacity. Terry makes public health relevant, demystifies health equity, and promotes community power.
