Main Areas of Responsibility: 
• Identify and engage potential allies in support of wolf recovery. Develop effective outreach techniques and tailor them to specific target groups. • Engage local schools, teachers and community groups in river restoration activities (wetland projects, tree-plantings, water quality monitoring, etc.) • Develop outreach/organizing materials, such as fact sheets, powerpoint presentations, sample letters, websites, email alerts, etc. Maintain activist/outreach table at SWEC.
Additional Areas of Responsibility: 
• Engage SWEC members and the public to the maximum extent possible through such means as weekly email alerts, phonebanks, programs, trips, letter-writing parties, tabling, newsletter articles, website, etc. Utilize volunteers as much as possible. • Keep SWEC’s member database updated with activist/volunteer information. Utilize database to its full extent as an organizing tool.
Other Information/Requirements: 
• Keep on top of current national, regional and community affairs. Read the regional newspapers daily, listen to NPR, etc. • Develop good relationships with key reporters. Maintain an up-to-date media list. • Assist with other SWEC activities (e.g. Center maintenance, fundraisers) as needed.
