Main Areas of Responsibility:
Under the direction of the Center Director, the Academic Advisor provides direct educational support services to program participants. Advisors are responsible for promoting services and providing key support to students. They also support to the coordinator including assistance in developing/updating program materials, managing and collecting activity evaluations, and cultivating and maintaining relationships with participants, tutors, parents and school staff.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Meet regularly with students to review academic progress, develop short-term goals, provide academic advising and financial aid, assistance with the college application process, assist with scholarship applications, assist with financial aid applications, maintain student program files, and maintain accurate and document student participation in program activities.
