Main Areas of Responsibility:
NACA Inspired Schools Network (NISN) will train leaders in NACA's school model to open quality schools in Native communities. The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for implementation of the NISN vision, key functions, finance, operations, and management. The COO will work with the CEO to cultivate and develop relationships. The COO will be responsible for executing broad objectives and strategies. Senior leadership/team management experience is required. A master's degree is preferred.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
In partnership with NISN leadership, the COO will: help to develop and build all functions of the network; build external partnerships to support NISN; manage financial and operational aspects of NISN; set key internal metrics and objectives to long-term viability; operationalize key aspects of NISN's strategy and vision; manage the relationship between the network and the schools; and build critical infrastructure to establish the network as a lever in educational opportunity.
Based on a community-driven school development model, NISN will train leaders to start high-performing charter schools. NISN seeks talented individuals from all backgrounds, especially self-starters who deeply believe in engaging communities and want to see transformation in rural Native communities. A successful applicant will have experience in senior leadership, team management, education systems, entrepreneurship, and start-ups. A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
