Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for recording and acknowledging contributions according to defined procedures and honed judgment using data entry devices and data entry screens in a team environment.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Receiving/categorizing donations, recording them in donor base, generating/posting acknowledgment letters. Balancing batches, recording department totals for reconciliation. Responding to donor inquiries about prior gifts, determining & preparing correspondence. Upholding donor confidentiality, safeguarding donor details. Communicating in a professional, gracious & prompt manner. Preparing memorial & honorarium person/pet listings for quarterly newsletters.
Part-time position. Approximately 25 hours/week February - October and 35 hours/week November - January.
Experience - two years experience in a non-profit business setting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Detail-oriented, ability to problem-solve; skilled in use of PC, Microsoft Word & Excel; skilled in use of databases (DonorPerfect) a plus; ability to verify data input, identify and correct errors; ability to maintain confidentiality of donor records; 10-key skills, accurate/proficient.
