Main Areas of Responsibility:
This full-time/part-time position to head fundraising and operational needs including implementing major giving and planned giving fundraising strategies. Reporting to the executive director, this professional must have an established background in coordinating nonprofit donation strategies and staff/volunteer leadership. This role involves organizing large and small-scale fundraising initiatives, working closely with board directors, staff, volunteers, and building relationships with donors.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Develop/execute fundraising campaigns; grant writing/oversight; identify/steward donors; recruit/train staff, directors, & volunteer fundraising leaders; consistent communication with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, donors & staff; use prospect research tools & donor databases to build donor relationships; create solicitation materials; superb written, verbal, & interpersonal skills; excellent time management skills/flexibility with job duties; and refresh/create Membership program.
BA (required), MA, or MBA (a plus); five-plus years' experience in fundraising and development; demonstrated excellence in leadership, networking, organizational, managerial, and communication skills; technically savvy; knowledge of DonorPerfect software and fundraising tools expertise; creative, self-starter attitude; donor and volunteer service mentality; organized and inspiring team leader; experience in grant writing; and experience in arts organizations a plus.
