Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Director of Philanthropy (DoP) develops and oversees programs to raise funds for the ACLU-NM and strengthen the organization’s relationships with its supporters. Working closely with the ED, the DoP is responsible for planning, supervising and executing the major gifts program and developing complimentary fundraising and donor cultivation strategies. The DoP provides leadership to staff and board to reach annual and long-range goals. The organization’s annual budget is $1.5 million.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
General staff leadership responsibilities include attendance at ACLU events, work with ED and DD to maintain a strong team spirit within the office; assist with strategic planning, budget development and internal processes; prepare regular reports, including analysis of gifts, trends, projections; track development goals and work to ensure they are accomplished; ensure that confidentiality and work quality requirements are met by staff; supervise, and train, Development Associate.
