Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Executive Director of the New Mexico Board of Bar Examiners fills a highly responsible strategic, administrative, and supervisory position. The Executive Director works under the supervision of the Board of Bar Examiners which is responsible for administering the bar examination and determining the character and fitness of applicants, as well as any other eligibility factors relevant for consideration in the admission of applicants seeking admission to the bar in New Mexico.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Extensive managerial and administrative experience in a legal setting involving multiple complex issues is desired.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Required qualifications: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; Bar licensure in one or more U.S. states and, if not already licensed in New Mexico, licensure in New Mexico within one year from hiring; and demonstrated experience in managing a group or organization, including operations, staffing, and financial management.
