Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Friends of Valle de Oro NWR seeks a highly motivated and qualified leader to be its Executive Director. The successful candidate will be the principal public face of the Friends and responsible for leadership, management, fundraising, and general administration in partnership with the Board of Directors and the Refuge.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the implementation of policies set by the Board, annual goals and objectives using the organization’s strategic plan as a map, financial, program, and administrative oversight of the organization.

Other Information/Requirements: 

The Friends of Valle de Oro NWR, has a mission to help shape and support Valle de Oro NWR, the first Urban National Wildlife Refuge in the Southwest. We are dedicated to fostering a community conservation ethic by promoting environmental and cultural awareness through educational programs and recreational opportunities.
