Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Arc of New Mexico is excited to have someone to help us create a new program that will assist individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families with increasing their knowledge of financial management and financial inclusion as they apply to their daily lives and their future.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Including creating curriculum–based workshops and 1:1 informational session to encourage financial independence. Experience helping a client to set appropriate goals preferred. Must have the necessary skill sets to emphasize with clients, and be an advocate for, their financial situations while also providing motivation and moving clients toward positive action.
Education requires a min of: AA plus 2-years’ experience performing intakes including assessing and identifying client strengths and needs and providing referrals for assistance. Prefer Min 2-yrs exp in Social work, counseling, life/career counseling, education, behavior analysis, community advocacy, disability advocacy, or related field.
