Main Areas of Responsibility:
Develop and manage a plan for growing the digital audience in southwestern New Mexico; build our base of supporters through social media, digital advertising, and other digital tools; create compelling and engaging social media content, including graphics and short videos, to effectively reach our target audiences this includes management and facilitating approval of social media calendar; and write advocacy email newsletters.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Analyze the performance of social media posts, digital ads and emails, and adjust content and strategies accordingly; regularly monitor press coverage of the Gila; and share relevant clips with team and add to social media calendar.
Experience in digital/online advocacy, grassroots organizing, digital storytelling or political campaigns; excellent communication skills, including writing and editing; demonstrated prior commitment to equity work; enthusiastic self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks and deadlines; commitment to amplifying the voice and leadership of the Hispanic/Latinx community; bilingual in Spanish preferred; and strong connection to the Gila preferred.
