Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer and the Clinical Nurse Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible to the La Familia Medical Center (LFMC) clients for providing nursing care in assigned area in terms of individualized client needs, according to dependent and independent nursing functions and conformance .

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Prepares patients for examinations, including but not limited to vital signs, recording progress notes, patient interviews, collecting specimens, throat cultures, and blood draws; provides support in the overall LFMC operation by acknowledging, adhering to, and implementing overall organizational and medical policies and operating procedures of LFMC.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program and state licensure is required. Six months related experience, preferred in a community health care setting. State of New Mexico Licensed Practical Nurse certification, CPR and First Aid certification are required.
