Main Areas of Responsibility:
New Mexico Legal Aid has a grant under the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) from the New Mexico Crime Victims Reparation Commission to expand civil justice assistance to victims of crime throughout New Mexico. NMLA seeks an experienced staff attorney to do outreach and provide direct civil legal services throughout the state. Targeted clients will include victims of human trafficking, hate crimes, abused elders, victims of federal crime, and other forms of interpersonal violence.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
At least three years’ experience as a licensed attorney preferred but will consider exceptionally well qualified entry level candidates; must be licensed in New Mexico, or obtain New Mexico license by reciprocity, limited legal aid providers licensing, or by sitting for the next available New Mexico bar examination; and must be willing to travel.
