Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the house, including oversight of staff, facility management, operations, guest families and volunteers. This position will also recruit and schedule and attend activities to promote awareness of Casa Esperanza at appropriate community and statewide venues. This position keeps track of statistics for grant reporting. This person will work closely with the Executive Director and Development Director.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with social workers, doctors, nurses and other hospital partner staff. Develop, document and implement House program policies and procedures. Develop and implement long and short term operational goals. This position also participates in a 24/7 on call rotation to respond to program-related emergency situations and provide support to House staff as needed.
Bachelor Degree preferred and/or relevant experience in the health, social services or hospitality field. Minimum 2 years management experience and working in a non-profit environment. Proficient with Microsoft office programs, as well as an ability to quickly learn agency databases. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds and families experiencing high stress. Bilingual preferred.
