Main Areas of Responsibility:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Political Director to lead CVNM’s electoral and accountability work to ensure that New Mexico’s decision-makers prioritize protecting New Mexico’s air, land, and water through meaningful policy action. The Political Director will oversee and implement strategies and programs that help to identify and elect pro-conservation policymakers in New Mexico elections, and educate voters about the voting records of decision-makers.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
The right candidate for this role will have demonstrated success developing, coordinating and implementing elections engagement strategies, including voter persuasion, phone banks, mail piece and/or radio development, and field engagement. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of the importance of building trust
and credibility with policy leaders, the legislative and policy-making process, leveraging public pressure to achieve policy wins, and racial equity.
