Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Pre-K Teacher is responsible for administering the Pre-K program at the classroom level and supervise assistant teachers; preparing students to be ready for kindergarten by teaching early learning foundations in basic subjects such as pre-reading readiness and early math experiences are practiced daily; and prepare daily lessons and exercises; follow age-appropriate curriculum guidelines for preschoolers.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Help students integrate with one another and interact in groups; and identify emotional problems and address them with the child’s parents or guardians during parent-teacher. Requires a bachelor's or be enrolled in courses towards a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education within 6 months after hire, and must complete at least 6 credits annually; CDA or CDC; bilingual in English/Spanish; two years’ experience in working with children in a day care setting; and successfully complete Early Pre-K Database
