Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Corporate Support Professional Intern will coordinate an underwriting/sales program for New Mexico PBS in accordance with defined revenue goals, and in compliance with relevant FCC regulations. Identifies, cultivates, and secures contributions from corporate and non-profit supporters. Secures goods and services through trade agreements. Negotiates and prepares contracts and agreements and oversees and monitors their fulfillment by New Mexico PBS.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Under the close mentorship of the Corporate Support Manager in the Development Department at KNME/KNMD New Mexico PBS, the Corporate Support Professional Intern undertakes a range of on-going activities and assigned projects of varying levels of professional complexity requiring knowledge and expertise gained through the completion of a relevant higher education degree.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree, (transcripts must be presented prior to a formal offer being extended); no previous work experience required.

Preferred Qualifications: A degree in business, MBA preferred; a desire to learn public media underwriting best practices; ability to occasionally work after 5 PM and on weekends; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks; access to reliable transportation.

This is a fixed-term (typically 1-2 years in duration) career-path position that is restricted to graduates of accredited university Bachelors or Masters programs who have obtained their degrees no earlier than 24 months prior to the date of hire.
