Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Business Consultant/Trainer will serve individuals in Southeastern New Mexico who are interested in starting or growing a small business. The Business Consultant/Trainer will also serve as the Regional Manager, responsible for managing the overall success of the regional office. Key functions of the position are to provide business consulting, training, and assistance with accessing capital for small businesses in the region.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Consulting one-on-one with entrepreneurs and small business owners on issues related to starting a business, managing a business (including financial management, marketing, operations, etc.), and obtaining business capital. Delivering training classes for entrepreneurs and small business owners on relevant topics. Supervising team members aligned with the regional office.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Experience working in a small business, or with small business owners. Experience owning or managing a small business is preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field from an accredited educational institution is required. A master’s degree in a business-related field is desired. English/Spanish bilingual proficiency is desired.
