Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Ensure the provision of a secure emergency men’s homeless shelter, while overseeing the implementation of the Heading Home’s programs, policies and procedures for Albuquerque Opportunity Center. In addition, is also responsible for designing, implementing and managing new and existing programs and practices for the AOC’s Respite Care Program. These include acting as liaison to other agencies; advocate, and oversight of on-site resource centers, among other programs and practices.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

•Develop, implement, and evaluate direct service for Respite Care Program.
•Assist in the recruiting, interviewing, hiring and, if necessary, termination of Albuquerque Opportunity Center staff.
•Maintain supervisory direction over shelter personnel, including the following positions: Shift Supervisors, Security and Resident Assistants, Respite Program Coordinator, Data Assistant.
•Responsible for program staff performance evaluation and training programs.

Other Information/Requirements: 

•Assist in the implementation of policies with committees that define scope of services to be rendered within programmatic areas.
•Collect data using Service Point (HMIS) and run quarterly reports for CABQ Reports
•Provide Deputy Director data for various purposes.
•Invoicing and Census Data for UNMH Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital and VA Hospital
