Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Therapist is responsible for using discretion and independent judgment in providing individual and group counseling, therapy, and crisis intervention, advocacy, and supportive services to shelter residents, including age appropriate children, following the curriculum, and specifications of the agency.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
1. Provides group therapy to shelter residents, including children to enhance daily functioning.
2. Provides short-term individual crisis intervention.
3. Educates residents and nonresidents to recognize abusive characteristics and to develop coping skills and adaptive strategies to maintain a life free of violence.
4. Conducts assessments, evaluations, and service treatment planning.
5. Prepares timely.
