Habitat’s an international, ecumenical, non-profit organization that builds homes with people who cannot otherwise afford to own homes at today’s prices. Habitat isn’t a give-away program. It gives a hand up, not a hand out. Our mission is simple - to build houses, hope and community with people in need.
Position Description:
The board develops strategies, allocates resources, sets goals, ensures proper and adequate evaluations of programs and personnel, provided for financial solvency and security, preserves independence, enhances the public image among all constituencies, serves as court of appeals, and assesses the overall performance of the affiliate.
Expectations:
Meet the second Thursday of each month from 12-1p. Support the executive director in the goals of the organization as spelled out in Position Description; serve on at least one committee, be an active contributor to the organization.
