Grant Opportunity for Community Building Initiatives

Nonprofits working on community-wide initiatives or collaboratives are invited to apply for funding through the Community Building Initiatives Committee of United Way of Central New Mexico (UWCNM).

The Committee has very limited funds available to award in FY 2014-15 for community-wide initiatives that support systemic change efforts or multi-partner programs that align with UWCNM's work in Education, Health, or Self-Sufficiency.

  • Must have a local volunteer board or advisory committee
  • Must conduct the collaborative or system-change activities in one or more central New Mexico counties
  • Must have adequate data and goal tracking and reporting capabilities and significant, relevant partners who can contribute to key data reporting

The Collaboration:

  • Must have goals that are measurable and aligned with UWCNM’s goals in the area of Education, Health, or Self-Sufficiency
  • Must serve an area or population that is not served or is under-served by other community-wide efforts
