NM Grantmakers Directory

The New Mexico Grantmakers Directory is a searchable, online database of grantmaker profiles designed to:

  • Provide grantseekers with information about funding opportunities to pursue
  • Provide grantmakers with an opportunity to clearly state their missions and funding areas

CNPE has partnered with the New Mexico Association of Grantmakers to build the database in order to further grantmaker-grantseeker relationships and to build capacity for New Mexico nonprofits by providing access to a variety of funding opportunities.

"I know if I am looking for funding opportunities that the NM Grantmakers Directory has current information, although there are not enough hours in the day to write all the proposals listed in the Directory that I would like to! We did receive a $15,000 grant as a result of learning about a grantmaker in the Directory and those funds have allowed us to expand services into Sandoval County- a very underserved county with limited resources for women with co-occuring mental and addictive disorders."
- Jenny Johnstone-Smith, Executive Director, Susan's Legacy

"Searching for grants is much easier because of the Directory.  I can spend more time on applications rather than searching."
- Vena A-dae Romero, Executive Director, Cochiti Youth Experience

"The Directory helped us receive several small grants, and helped us tie in to funding organizations with similar missions in the community."
Tim Nisly, Chief Operations Officer, Rio Grande Community Development Center

"It is an excellent resource, saving countless hours of staff time in long searches."
Jade Bock, Executive Director, Children's Grief Center

"The Directory has saved us time in locating grant making organizations that apply to us and has made it easier to apply for appropriate grants."
- Heidi Rishel Brakey, Executive Director, Mandy's Special Farm

"I am on the board of a small adult literacy nonprofit.  Finding information on funders seemed like an insurmountable task.  That was until we started using the NM Grantmakers Directory.  The Directory not only identifies grantmakers, but provides essential information: whether a grantmaker accepts LOIs, the average grant size, the geographic and funding focus, and the all important contact information.  My organization uses the NM Grantmakers Directory, and has received funding from some of the grantmakers listed in the Directory.  It is an excellent tool and in my experience better than the subscription (pay) grant directories one finds elsewhere."
- Margaret Barker, Board Member, Reading Works, Inc.
