AARP Foundation's Tax-Aide program provides free Federal and NM tax assistance to low and moderate income taxpayers, with special attention to those 60 and older. AARP Tax-Aide is the nation's largest all-volunteer tax preparation service. All volunteers are certified annually in accordance with IRS rules. Free tax help provided in more than 46 New Mexico locations. Program in New Mexico started in 1968. AARP Tax-Aide received recognition from the Internal Revenue Service for maintaining high quality, with an error rate equal to or better than paid tax preparers.
