Our Educational Program Albuquerque Academy is an independent, college preparatory day school for boys and girls in grades six through twelve. The Academy prides itself on offering an educational program based on creative, independent doing and thinking. The school motto, scientia ad faciendum, or "knowing through doing," reflects an underlying philosophy of achieving knowledge through active involvement in learning. The Academy's primary academic goals are: To encourage sound scholarship, independent thinking, and discriminating judgment; To teach analytical skills, including how to examine and evaluate large bodies of data; To teach students how to deal with concepts; To support and foster free inquiry.
