The Four Corners Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute maintains an active membership of 70 people from 3 counties in northwest New Mexico. We host monthly general meetings between September and May, and sponsor several special events per year. We are celebrating our 53rd year. The Four Corners Chapter gave its first college scholarship in 1959 for $500. Since then, our annual golf tournament's success has generated numerous scholarships for area San Juan County students who are pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry. In 2009/2010 our chapter awarded thirty-nine $1000 scholarships for a total of $39,000 YTD.
