Mission Statement:
To help people avoid, prepare for, and cope with emergencies; to enhance self-reliance and concern for others; and to improve the quality of human life. We do this through services that are led by volunteers, and guided by our congressional charter and the principles of the International Red Cross.
Programs:
Immediate emergency relief is provided to victims of disaster, including shelter, clothing, food, rent and one on one casework. Volunteers are on call 24/7 for military personnel and their families to assist in emergency communications. Our Health and Safety program provides CPR/First Aid, Water Safety, Family Care-Giving, and Baby Sitting courses throughout the community. Additional services including, Disaster Preparedness, Life-Line, Warm UP America are daily activities. The Red Cross is not a government agency and our financial support must come from our community. We are a United Way partner Agency. Volunteers and financial contributors are the heart of the organization, making it possible to touch over 15,000 lives in the Four Corners every year.
