We operate a Clearinghouse which receives calls from hundreds of families a month that are referred by government and private agencies, pastors, police, case managers, care providers, disability advocates and concerned citizens. Our staff supervised volunteers complete a detailed intake and verification assessment of each family's needs and make recommendations to the Clearinghouse Director for action. The areas of help that we currently coordinate are as follows: Supply of household goods, furniture, bedding and appliances Minor home repairs Yard cleanup Transportation Home assessment visits Auto repair We are currently connecting over five hundred families a year in our service area utilizing a volunteer database numbering over 1000 to provide the help they need to improve their life. That service area consists of all addresses in Albuquerque with a SE or SW designation and the area between Central and I-40. We maintain two warehouses totaling over 10,000 square feet full of beds, dressers, tables and chairs, sofas, dishes and other kitchen items and linens. We received over $100,000 of merchandise in the last year from Home Depot. All of this merchandise is available free to other non-profits, churches, agencies and clients.
