Designed with those who have limited or less-than-positive experiences with evaluation in mind, this session will support participants in thinking about ways in which the basic tools of evaluation (asking questions, collecting information, using information to answer questions) can be applied beyond typical measures of accountability. This session will address how different types of evaluation can be used throughout a program or organization’s development, including client and consultant roles in different types of evaluation.  Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions regarding issues that may be limiting their adoption of evaluative practice. Ultimately, participants will leave with a more robust understanding of evaluation’s potential role in their organization.
