Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
5 hours per week, Coordinate requests from local collaborating partners who are directly involved with children needing health related care. Keep in touch with these providers; collect and summarize data.
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
Children who fall through the cracks of the medical system. When children of families suffering economically need health related care, family stress is compounded. Healing the Children tries to relieve at least some.
Nonprofit Will Provide:
Cell phone, stipend for gas, fax machine
Additional Requirements:
computer; willingness and ability to problem solve; interest in seeing that families get help no matter why they need it; welcoming communication skills; ability and commitment to respond immediately.
