Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 
Do you believe in second chances? Are you a peace-marker at heart? Are you an advocate for social justice and social change? We are currently looking for new board members from a variety of backgrounds and with wide range of expertise. Our Board members are attorneys, business owners, educators, engineers, retired officers from the armed forces, realtors, and more. Board members meet every other month. We love what we do and find joy in the success of our residents.
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 
Dismas House New Mexico was founded in 1994 by a group of concern citizens who believed that individuals returning to society from prison/jail deserved a chance to change their lives. Since that time, Dismas House has served over 1500 individuals by providing transitional housing with supportive services specifically designed to meet the needs of returning citizens.
