Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
Join Health Action New Mexico as we prepare to call our community members! We will be making phone calls for two weeks informing NM health consumers about the new health care law and how it will benefit individuals, families, and small businesses.
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
People that cannot afford health insurance or who have voluntarily dropped their insurance coverage due to premium rate increases. We will hear their concerns.
Nonprofit Will Provide:
A phone script, a phone, and technical assistance if volunteering from home.
Additional Requirements:
No special skills needed; an interest in talking to people, an interest in health care issues, and bi-lingual in Spanish/English a plus!
