Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

ReadWest has been serving the Rio Rancho and West Albuquerque communities for 25 years. ReadWest's mission is to provide quality, one-to-one tutoring to adults seeking to transform their lives through enhanced literacy skills. 40+ percent of adults in New Mexico read at or below a 5th grade level. The strongest indicator that a child will live in poverty is their parents don't have a HS diploma. Join a team of exceptional people who have a passion for Literacy.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 
The community is strengthened when its members are able to improve their lives, get better jobs and take part in society. Children's lives improve dramatically when their parents are able to read and write, get a job or a better job, get the GED and more.
Nonprofit Will Provide: 
Training, ongoing support, welcoming atmosphere.
Additional Requirements: 
Board Meets once per month on the third Tuesday. Additional time may be needed for fundraising or other committee activities.
