The overview wi ll briefly discuss revenue options\, including gra nts\, fundraising events\, annual donation campaig ns\, donor cultivation\, bequeaths a social enterp rise (revenue generation programs). \; The cor e part of the workshop will focus on nonprofit sus tainability. It will provide information on succes sful sustainability practices and methods for long term financial strength. A key component is finan cial diversity so that an organization is not depe ndent on any one source of income.  The workshop will have a brief conversation on collaboration a nd mergers.  The workshop will be interactive an d will include activities designed to help organiz ations develop strategies for long term financial sustainability.\n \n Learning Objectives\n \n \n Nonprofit Sustainability\n Financial Diversity\n Fund Development Plans\n \n \n Presenter: \; Frank René\; Ló\;pez\n \n Frank is the Executive Director of New Mexico Association of G rantmakers. He has over 25 years working with busi nesses and nonprofit organizations\, including thr ee years with the WK Kellogg Foundation as the Dir ector of New Mexico Programs. The depth of his exp erience\, however\, comes from his work as an exec utive director\, providing capacity building to a myriad of organizations. His expertise includes co llective impact\, social enterprise\, strategic pl anning\, nonprofit governance and taxation\, leade rship\, board development\, DEI and fund developme nt.\n \n He is a &ldquo\;teacher at heart&rdquo\; and has taught at several universities and has del ivered presentations all over the country. His exp erience in business\, philanthropy and nonprofit o rganizations provides him with a unique understand ing of nonprofit organization success and impact. Lopez has published articles in the areas of Corpo rate Social Responsibility and Teaching Race &\ ; Law. He has a BBA in Accounting from the Univers ity of Texas at Austin\, a JD from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law\, and he i s licensed to practice law in Texas and California .
