Nonprofit Sustainability During Tough Times

Sustainability Benchmarks represent the most critical areas for an organization to develop in order to be successful.  Many executives know intuitively that they need to have a clear mission, plan effectively, maintain quality programs, develop effective financial and fundraising systems and create a vibrant organization.

During challenging times nonprofit leadership volunteers and staff are under stress.  In these times it is important to identify program priorities, analyze finances and funding options, and develop a plan for shoring up an organization's strengths.  A strong board focused on policy and fundraising plays a key role and helps the executive director and staff make needed changes and developments.

This workshop is geared to nonprofits that want to use a method to analyze strengths and weaknesses--and build the organization. Attendees will gain a broad understanding of the impact of the fiscal crisis and other stressors on New Mexico nonprofits, and will receive tools to assess their organization and build strategies to respond.
