Year 5 of the NM Leaders in Mindfulness Conference happens April 19-20.
This is a collective space to learn leadership skills, connect  at social justice and equity through the collective lens of contemplative practices. 
Rhonda Magee, writer and law professor at University of San Francisco internationally known pioneer in using mindfulness to transform criminal justice, higher education and racism will keynote, as well as facilitate breakout sessions. 
Winged Women from Esperanza Shelter, Yoga & Meditation for People of Color, Qigong Master Mingtong Gu, Running Medicine, Samia Assed, and others, use music, art-making, facilitated conversations, yoga and movement to explore such topics as building alliances across differences, transforming trauma, our relationship to money that creates inequity, how does yoga/meditation practice differ for people of color, from oppression to opportunity and more.
Friday evening is conversation, meditation and a community dinner with Rhonda Magee for self-identified people of color
Saturday evening ends with a reception/party of live music featuring jazz singer Patty Stephens, storytelling and open mic.
