Mission/ Giving Statement: The PNM Resources Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life in the communities served by the subsidiaries of PNM Resources. The Foundation seeks opportunities for engaged philanthropy through a focus on education, environmental awareness and education, economic vitality, economic disparity and employee engagement.

Grantmaking Program Area Descriptions:

PNM Reduce Your Use Grants: Reduce Your Use Grants help nonprofit organizations put their energy-saving ideas into action with grants up to $5,000. Since its inception in 2008, this program has awarded more than $1.5 million to nonprofits around the state to help them decrease their energy use in order to free up funds for their mission-based programs.

30th Anniversary Grants: The 30th anniversary of the PNM Resources Foundation in 2013 was a great time to further invest in our communities with 30 $10,000 grants.The grants promoted environmental stewardship and/or community improvements of public spaces.

Matching Grants:  When PNM employees and retirees support local charitable and educational organizations, the PNM Fund, a division of the PNM Resources Foundation, will match their donations.  Up to $1,000 annually.

Volunteer Grants: PNM Volunteer Grants turn PNM employees' and retirees' volunteer hours into cash. Through PNM Volunteer Grants, a company employee or retiree can request a contribution of as much as $500 a year on behalf of a New Mexico nonprofit organization with which he or she volunteers.
