Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Ambulatory Patient Services Coordinator, under limited supervision, performs a wide variety of administrative support functions at the assigned UNMMG Ambulatory Clinic. This includes, but is not limited to, direct service to patients, either by phone or in person; scheduling appointments; receptionist duties; verifying demographic and insurance information; obtaining referral and prior authorizations with insurance carriers.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Ambulatory Patient Services Coordinator also assists with concerns and complaints and serving as a liaison as needed with physicians, other providers, and insurance companies.

Other Information/Requirements: 

This position requires a high school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of directly related experience acquired working in a medical environment. Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.
