Main Areas of Responsibility:
The United Way of Central New Mexico is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to inspire and lead high performing teams in support of a dynamic fundraising and community impact organization. The successful candidate is an experienced strategic leader with proven communication and management skills in complex environments. They will be able to demonstrate an understanding and a passion for the work of the United Way.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
The CFO must have a strong understanding of financial information and standards applicable to the nonprofit environment, and be an effective manager of experienced staff members and key liaison support to volunteer decision-makers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing financial operations and related functions for an organization of similar complexity.
Requirements include: a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, five years’ experience in finance and managing staff, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to meet deadlines and be flexible, and to work in a fast-paced environment with high level of organizational and interpersonal skills. CPA preferred.
