Dental Clinic Receptionist

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Dental Receptionist is responsible for projecting a positive first impression of the organization, by communicating effectively with co workers and the general public, and greeting patients and other visitors, determining their needs and directing them accordingly to the appropriate party with complete confidentiality.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

by greeting patients and visitors, answering phones, directing calls to staff and/or taking phone messages, communicating in English and/ or Spanish, informing patients about schedules and policies, such as the cancellation policy, sliding fee scale, payment arrangements, as well as complaints and concerns.

Other Information/Requirements: 

High school diploma or GED, plus AA degree or equivalent academic study preferred.
Minimum of high school plus five (5) years, with at least one (1) year experience in a related field. Three (3) years experience may be substituted for AA. Bilingual, Spanish/English preferred. Experience in bookkeeping and accounting. Experience with dental terminology and dental insurance claims, Medicaid.
