Development Director

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Development Director is responsible for developing and implementing the development strategy for Meals on Wheels. Reporting to the Executive Director, the DD is responsible for achieving fundraising goals and engaging sponsors, including leveraging key relationships and contacts within and outside of our current network to meet revenue goals.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

In conjunction with the Executive Director, the Development Director will be responsible for:
• Fundraising (Individual and Corporate donors)
• Major Gift/Donor Support
• Donor Stewardship
• Planned Giving Program
• Events
• Database and Records Management
• Development & Public Relations
• Financial Reporting
• Dedicate on-going attention to personal professional development through trade organization networks.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in fundraising
• Track record of achieving revenue targets
• Experience working with Senior Level executives
• Ability to write clearly and persuasively
• Understanding of strategic development
• Ability to prospect, cultivate, manage accounts
• Strong event planning skills
A qualified candidate will be required to sign a non-compete agreement.
