Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Full Time (exempt); $65,000 - $70,000. The Development Director is responsible for creating, executing, and evaluating all fundraising strategies for Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque (MOWABQ) using a donor-centered philosophy. This position articulates MOWABQ’s mission by direct donor solicitations, overseeing donor cultivation events, including the organization’s annual fundraising event(s), managing grant proposals, and helps to grow and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

This position is a member of the Leadership Team and reports directly to the Executive Director; oversees one shared assistant in matters of development administration; oversees a contracted grant writer; and oversees the Fundraising Committee.

Other Information/Requirements: 

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree OR minimum of 5 years experience in a development role; believes in our mission and has a heart for the food, hunger, health, or senior services areas; and lives our values of Compassion, Reliability, Service, and Teamwork.
