Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Development Manager will contribute to the creation of the Institute’s development strategy annually; work with the Finance department and the ED to develop an annual budget for the development program; create and implement procedures for the Development department to ensure accurate financial reporting; build relationships with community stakeholders to advance the mission and fundraising goals of the organization; and develop and manage timelines for various fundraising activities.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Must have a proven record of successful fundraising through diverse channels, including capital campaigns; ability to anticipate needs of donors; experience planning and implementing development projects; including team leadership and coordination and the ability to meet deadlines; skilled in creating powerful, compelling written and oral communications; skilled at establishing and cultivating strong relationships with donors, co-workers and management; and special event planning and management.
Education and Experience
• University degree
• 3 to 5 years fundraising experience
