Donor Relations & Prospect Research Manager

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The School for Advanced Research seeks a donor relations & prospect research manager. Supervised by the director of development, this full-time exempt position will assist in planning and executing advancement and stewardship activities designed to establish donor connections with the institution and help deepen engagement and foster an environment that leads to philanthropic gifts. This position will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies for major gift cultivation.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Prospect Research - Research and develop prospects list and profiles
Donor Cultivation/Stewardship - Develop individual plans/strategies for prospects; Actively cultivate relationships; Plan/execute annual giving campaigns/donor events
Major Gift Tracking - Develop systems to track major gift prospects; Create stewardship plans for major donors; Plan contacts or moves for prospects; Maintain database

Other Information/Requirements: 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: B.A. or B.S. degree or proven equivalent experience in a development and/or administrative setting; at least three years fundraising experience; knowledge of individual giving strategies, tools, and resources; fluency in Raiser’s Edge/comparable software and database; familiarity with WealthPoint and ResearchPoint as research tools.

SALARY: $55,000-$65,000, DOE
