Main Areas of Responsibility:
The New Mexico Association for the Education of Young Children (NMAEYC) Executive Director leads by developing and implementing operational goals to achieve the association’s mission, vision and strategic plan while ensuring the association continues to grow as a High Performing Inclusive Organization (HPIO).
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
The Executive Director will collaborate with the board of directors, staff, volunteers and association members focusing on advocacy, educational resources and networking opportunities for its members. The Executive Director will establish a financially diverse and self-sustaining base of funding through strong donor relations, grant opportunities, community partnerships and membership growth/retention.
● Bachelor’s degree required
● 5+ years of senior nonprofit management experience (resource development, finance, leadership, nonprofit program planning and public relations)
● Experience in Early Childhood Education and an understanding of the NM early education system
● Passionate about NMAEYC’s mission and vision, nonprofit structure governance and association management
