Main Areas of Responsibility: 

NMCDLA mobilizes criminal defense professionals throughout the state to effectively represent their individual clients and to partner with diverse coalitions advocating for systemic change. A tightly-knit organization of over 550 criminal defense attorneys, social workers, paralegals, investigators, and other team members, we address injustices in the courtroom and throughout the criminal justice system as a whole.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

We are looking for an Executive Director to lead the association in our next wave of growth and provide exceptional support to our membership. We support our members through continuing legal education programs, an engaged email listserv, publications, and other communications.

Other Information/Requirements: 

We also provide a platform for our members to exchange experiences, litigation resources, and knowledge on all topics relating to criminal defense work. In conjunction with a robust network of members, these tools equip defense lawyers and sustain and strengthen them as they speak out on behalf of their clients.
