Main Areas of Responsibility:
Organize and lead an annual campaign of direct solicitation; identify new and cultivate existing donors, solicit gifts, and steward donors; diversifying funding sources; stay abreast of the latest in fundraising and philanthropy; prepare fundraising materials, letters, marketing materials, etc; recruit and coordinate volunteers; manage the administrative aspects of fundraising; plan, organize, and produce special events; and other duties as required.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Develop and implement annual fundraising plan; continue implementation of race equity within the organization; work with accountant to manage the organization’s finances; manage daily operations and business matters; manage all aspects of Board work; engage with the legal community in NM; facilitate and represent interests of EAJ in negotiations regarding potential future partnership with State Bar of NM; manage and maintain all records of the organization; and other duties as required.
$40k-50k/yr. Two years+ experience in non-profit management and/or resource development; success leading a direct-solicitation fundraising campaign; work independently as the sole staff; strong written and verbal communications skills; strong organizational skills; community outreach and relationship-building skills; ability to organize, inform, and build the Board of Directors; and commitment to advancing racial and economic justice.
